Buccaneers Beaten by Falcons, 45-24

With lackluster output from Josh Freeman, the Buccaneers were crushed by the Falcons, 45-24, at Georgia Dome.

Freeman finished 31 for 45 with 274 yards, two touchdowns, three picks and one fumble. Chris Redman completed 7 of 12 passes for 71 yards, no touchdowns and one pick for the Falcons.

Kregg Lumpkin rushed for zero yards on two carries in addition to five receptions for 27 yards. Dezmon Briscoe was a leading receiver, hauling in eight balls for 53 yards while adding two touchdowns.

The Tampa Bay defense managed to slow down the passing attack, but could not slow down the running game, giving up 251 yards rushing and 177 passing while taking back one interception for a touchdown.

Falcons running back Michael Turner had a big game, putting up 172 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Julio Jones also performed well with 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
